Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will report to a Project Manager or Project Executive and play a key role in supporting construction operations from preconstruction through closeout.

  • Manage day-to-day project activities under the guidance of the Project Manager
  • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and preparation of estimates
  • Solicit and manage bids from subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Support the preparation and execution of change orders and cost adjustments
  • Track project progress and contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure field activities align with schedule and scope
  • Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

The Successful Applicant

For the Assistant Project Manager, we are seeking:

  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or similar
  • Experience supporting ground-up or large-scale commercial projects
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, field-based environments and travel as needed
  • Proficiency in construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar preferred)
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities
