Our client is seeking a construction-minded Assistant Project Manager to support luxury custom home projects throughout New Jersey. This role serves as the link between the office and field teams, helping manage project coordination, documentation, procurement, and overall project execution.

About Our Client

Our client is a growing construction firm with over 20 years of success in the New York and New Jersey markets. Their Lakewood-based New Jersey division focuses on luxury ground-up single-family homes with project budgets ranging from $5M to $20M.

Job Description

  • Review plans, specifications, and project documents to develop bid packages and issue RFPs.
  • Solicit and analyze subcontractor bids, assist with project buyouts, and coordinate material procurement.
  • Maintain project budgets, schedules, purchase orders, change orders, and cost tracking.
  • Coordinate permitting, insurance, client approvals, and material selections.
  • Maintain RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, project files, and documentation.
  • Partner with field teams to ensure effective communication and project reporting through Procore.
  • Support invoicing, AIA billing requisitions, and project financial tracking.

The Successful Applicant

  • 1-2 years of construction experience; residential experience is a plus.
  • Construction-minded with strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Construction Management degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Procore or the ability to quickly learn construction software.
