Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will report to a Senior Project Manager and play a key role in supporting the delivery of K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of K-12 construction projects
  • Support project schedules, budgets, procurement, and contract administration
  • Manage submittals, Requests for Information, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Track project costs and assist with financial reporting and forecasting
  • Participate in project meetings and provide timely communication to stakeholders
  • Support project closeout activities, punch lists, and warranty documentation

The Successful Applicant

For the Assistant Project Manager we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • 2+ years of construction project management experience with a general contractor
  • Required experience supporting K-12 education construction projects
  • Understanding of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Team-oriented mindset with a desire to develop into a Project Manager role
