Our client is a respected and rapidly growing commercial general contractor specializing in multifamily construction projects throughout the region. With a reputation for delivering quality projects and fostering strong client relationships, they continue to expand their footprint across Texas and surrounding markets.

Our client offers a collaborative team environment, opportunities for career advancement, and exposure to complex ground-up developments. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support project teams in Houston while traveling to active job sites as needed.

Job Description

  • Supporting Project Managers with the day-to-day execution of multifamily construction projects
  • Reviewing plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and ownership teams
  • Tracking project schedules and assisting with milestone management
  • Monitoring project costs, budgets, and change orders
  • Maintaining procurement, reporting, and project logs
  • Participating in project meetings and preparing meeting minutes
  • Assisting with quality control and project closeout activities
  • Supporting field operations and traveling to project sites as required
  • Ensuring compliance with company safety standards and project requirements

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-5+ years of experience in construction project management, project engineering, or assistant project management
  • Experience working on ground-up multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to travel to active project sites as needed
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and change order processes
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction
