Job Description

  • Assist in managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Support the Project Manager with scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Attend the project site regularly and work closely with field teams to track progress and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and project reporting.
  • Ensure project milestones, quality standards, and contract requirements are met.
  • Support safety initiatives and maintain project compliance.
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Help drive projects to successful completion while maintaining client satisfaction.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2+ years of experience in construction as an Assistant Project Manager
  • Experience on federal, healthcare, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project documentation.
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and build strong relationships with project teams and clients.
  • A desire to develop into a Project Manager within a growing organization.
