Job Description

  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day project administration and execution.
  • Track project progress and assist with reporting on project milestones, schedules, and performance.
  • Prepare invoices, estimates, meeting documentation, and other project-related records.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and material suppliers.
  • Help facilitate invoice processing and subcontractor payments.
  • Assist with preparing, negotiating, and issuing change orders.
  • Update project cost tracking and budget forecasts as changes occur.
  • Support field operations and coordinate with Superintendents on site activities.
  • Communicate project updates, delays, and challenges to project leadership.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Assist with project startup activities and closeout documentation.
  • Travel to assigned project locations as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager (Traveling) - Mission Critical should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience within the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and personal accountability.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a field construction environment, including walking on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when project demands require.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively based on project assignments.
