Job Description



Assistant Project Manager

  • Assist Project Managers in managing all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Coordinate project documentation, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
  • Maintain project schedules and help track key milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities.
  • Support procurement efforts and subcontractor buyout processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, cost reports, and monthly financial forecasts.



Construction Management

  • Monitor project progress and support field operations to ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents and subcontractors to resolve construction issues and prevent schedule delays.
  • Participate in site inspections and safety meetings.
  • Track punch list items and assist with project closeout activities.



Affordable Housing Compliance

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with affordable housing program requirements, funding agreements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Coordinate documentation required by agencies such as:
    • NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD)
    • New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC)
    • New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR)
    • HUD and other federal funding agencies
  • Track MWBE participation, prevailing wage requirements, Section 3 compliance, labor reporting, and other project-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Support agency inspections, audits, and reporting processes.

The Successful Applicant



Assistant Project Manager

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
    • 2-5 years of construction project management experience, preferably in multifamily residential or affordable housing projects.
    • Knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and project delivery processes.
    • Familiarity with NYC construction regulations, permitting, and inspection processes.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Experience with project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera, CMiC, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
