Job Description

  • Support Project Managers through all phases of construction.
  • Assist with project scheduling, coordination, and documentation.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, consultants, and clients.
  • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and help maintain project schedules.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare follow-up documentation.
  • Visit jobsites to monitor progress and support field operations.
  • Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, and project turnover.
  • Maintain organized and accurate project files.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • Experience working for a General Contractor in an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Experience with residential construction or commercial interior fit-out projects is preferred.
  • Design-build project experience is a plus.
  • An educational or professional background in Architecture is highly valued but not required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software such as Procore is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
