Job Description

Assistant Project Manager will:

  • Assist Project Managers in overseeing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination efforts.
  • Manage and track project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and clients.
  • Monitor project progress and help identify potential risks or delays.
  • Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and budget management.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and status updates.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and company standards.
  • Support procurement activities and subcontractor buyout processes.
  • Assist in project closeout, punch list completion, and final documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Building and Construction Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-4 years of construction experience, including internships or project coordination experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and project management principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
