Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers with all phases of project execution.
  • Coordinate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documents.
  • Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking activities.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and clients.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting notes and action items.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays.
  • Assist with procurement and subcontractor management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and company standards.
  • Maintain organized project records and reporting systems.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-4 years of construction experience, including internships, project coordination, or assistant project management experience.
  • Understanding of commercial construction processes and project lifecycle management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a desire to grow professionally.
