Job Description

As an Building and Construction Assistant Project Manager, you will:

  • Support Project Managers on active public construction projects
  • Assist with project administration from preconstruction through closeout
  • Manage and track submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentation
  • Coordinate weekly project meetings and distribute action items
  • Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud to manage project information
  • Monitor project schedules and track milestone progress
  • Communicate with contractors, architects, engineers, and owners
  • Assist with contract administration and project reporting
  • Support budget tracking and project controls
  • Help identify and resolve project issues proactively
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Building and Construction Assistant Project Manager candidate will have:

  • 2-5+ years of construction industry experience
  • Experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Understanding of construction documents, project schedules, and contract administration
  • Strong attention to detail and project coordination abilities



Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Wicks Law projects
  • Understanding of New York State public construction procedures
  • Experience working with municipalities, government agencies, or school districts
  • Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related degree
  • Field experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Project Engineer is a plus



Experience with Wicks Law and public-sector construction is highly desirable. Candidates who understand how municipal projects operate in New York and can effectively manage documentation and stakeholder communication will be especially successful in this role.
