Job Description

Assistant Superintendent - Hartford, CT RegionThis role will support Superintendents on multiple active projects ranging from $500K-$1M, typically delivered in 14-16 week timelines. The position is primarily field-based across sites in Norwalk, Glastonbury, Hartford, West Hartford, and New Haven.Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Superintendent with daily onsite construction activities
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractor work to ensure schedule adherence
  • Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to the project team
  • Help manage site logistics, deliveries, and material coordination
  • Support quality control and ensure work meets plans/specifications
  • Participate in site meetings and document key action items
  • Utilize construction software/tools for reporting and documentation

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Superintendent should have:

  • 2-3+ years of construction experience (Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
  • Willingness to travel between job sites in the Hartford region
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple short-duration projects simultaneously
  • Retail or commercial interiors experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with construction technology (AutoDesk preferred, not required)
