Our client is a confidential, entrepreneurial general contractor based in the Hartford, CT area, specializing in commercial fit-outs and renovations across retail, restaurant, healthcare, and corporate interiors. They are known for their speed, repeat client relationships, and ability to execute high-volume "quick-hitter" projects across New England.

Job Description

  • Assist the Superintendent with daily onsite construction activities
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractor work to ensure schedule adherence
  • Monitor site safety and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to the project team
  • Help manage site logistics, deliveries, and material coordination
  • Support quality control and ensure work meets plans/specifications
  • Participate in site meetings and document key action items
  • Utilize construction software/tools for reporting and documentation

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-3+ years of construction experience (Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
  • Willingness to travel between job sites in the Hartford region
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple short-duration projects simultaneously
  • Retail or commercial interiors experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with construction technology (AutoDesk preferred, not required)

What's on Offer

  • Base salary: $85,000 - $100,000 (dependent on experience)
