Job Description

As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Support the Superintendent with day-to-day management of active projects.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and vendors on-site.
  • Monitor project progress, schedule, quality, and workmanship.
  • Assist with daily site logistics, deliveries, and material coordination.
  • Ensure work is being completed according to plans, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Conduct site walks and identify potential issues before they become problems.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, architects, designers, subcontractors, and building management.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
  • Assist with punch lists, inspections, and project closeout.
  • Take ownership of smaller projects and manage them through completion.
  • Lead and direct trades when necessary to keep the project moving.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Superintendent should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in high-end residential construction preferred.
  • Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or similar field experience.
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction and renovation processes.
  • Experience leading subcontractors or a field team.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Someone who is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
  • High-end residential experience is strongly preferred, but strong Foremen with transferable experience will be considered.
