Job Description

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the intellectual property and disputes practice
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth within the industry
  • Collaborate with legal teams to create compelling marketing and client engagement strategies
  • Manage client relationships and ensure consistent communication to enhance client satisfaction
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials
  • Track and analyze business development metrics to measure success and refine strategies
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in marketing and business development efforts
  • Represent the organization at industry events and networking opportunities to build brand visibility

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant business development experience supporting IP/ Disputes or related professional services teams
  • Ability to work independently and achieve goals with limited supervision while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and support the professional development of junior team members
  • Excellent writing, editing, analytical, research, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to develop high-quality pitches, proposals, presentations, submissions, and other client-facing materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, CRM platforms, experience management systems, and research tools, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive requests while maintaining a high standard of work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional presence, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and leadership
  • Ability to incorporate feedback constructively and continuously improve performance
