Job Description

    • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
    • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective customers across the assigned territory.
    • Conduct market research to uncover emerging trends, customer needs, and future growth opportunities.
    • Analyse new and existing markets to identify strategic commercial opportunities.
    • Develop and execute territory growth plans aligned with business objectives.
    • Engage with customers to understand technical and commercial requirements.
    • Collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
    • Manage the sales cycle from initial prospecting through to successful project implementation.
    • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers.
    • Maintain regular customer engagement through site visits, meetings, and industry networking events.
    • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development initiatives.
    • Achieve and exceed sales growth and profitability targets.
    • Travel extensively throughout the Eastern United States to support business development activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Key requirements include:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Polymer Sciences, Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
    • MBA or advanced business qualification would be advantageous.
    • Proven experience in a true hunter-style sales or business development role.
    • Track record of proactively generating leads and converting opportunities into revenue growth.
    • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
    • Ability to engage with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinker with strong market analysis and business planning capabilities.
    • Self-motivated, resilient, and able to work independently.
    • Results-driven with a focus on achieving ambitious growth targets.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
    • Must be based within the Eastern United States with convenient access to a major airport.
