Job Description

As Carpenter / Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Perform hands-on carpentry work including framing, trim, and finish installations
  • Assist Superintendent with daily jobsite coordination and oversight
  • Help manage subcontractors and ensure work aligns with schedule and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Support material deliveries, logistics, and site organization
  • Assist with punch lists, quality control, and project closeout
  • Communicate effectively with project team, trades, and vendors
  • Ensure adherence to high-end finish and craftsmanship standards

The Successful Applicant

A successful Carpenter / Assistant Superintendent should have:

  • 3+ years of carpentry experience, preferably in high-end residential interiors
  • Currently or came up as a carpenter
  • Exposure to NYC construction projects strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of luxury finishes and detailed millwork
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and shop drawings
  • Interest in growing into an Assistant Superintendent role (if not already in one)
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a fast-paced jobsite
  • OSHA certification is a plus
