Reporting to the Senior Manager of Operations, this role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance while meeting daily production, quality, and cost objectives.This is a hands‑on leadership position requiring strong operational oversight, coordination with maintenance and planning, and a proactive approach to safety and team development.

Job Description



Responsibilities:

  • Lead, direct, and supervise operations personnel across assigned shifts
  • Ensure all safety procedures and best practices are consistently followed by employees and contractors
  • Oversee daily production planning and execution, including short‑term scheduling and MRP activities
  • Monitor and update operational data using SAP or similar systems
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, follow up on work orders, and support troubleshooting efforts
  • Ensure adequate staffing and resources are in place to meet daily operational needs
  • Drive team development through cross‑training, coaching, and performance management
  • Maintain plant cleanliness, safety standards, and housekeeping schedules
  • Manage operations within defined KPIs, including production costs, maintenance costs, and chemical usage
  • Ensure all products meet specification while maximizing yield and throughput
  • Support a culture focused on zero defects, continuous improvement, and teamwork
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, SQF, and established operating procedures
  • Prepare, review, and analyze operational reports
  • Support new product introductions and other operational initiatives as needed

The Successful Applicant



Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing, processing, or refinery environment
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial operations, safety practices, and process reliability
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical schematics
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and influence teams
  • Ability to obtain required site credentials (e.g., TWIC)
