About Our Client

Our client is a well‑established public works general contractor with a strong footprint across NYC, delivering large‑scale public, commercial, and residential projects. Known for their consistency, resources, and reputable project pipeline.

Job Description

    • Lead estimating efforts for large‑scale NYC public projects, including ground‑up construction.
    • Prepare accurate cost estimates, bid strategies, and takeoffs across multiple sectors.
    • Manage bid processes for agencies such as SCA, DDC, EDC, and NYCHA.
    • Analyze drawings/specs, perform cost analysis, and oversee subcontractor pricing.
    • Collaborate with leadership, preconstruction teams, and operations to win work and ensure feasibility.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Estimator should have:

    • 7-15 years of estimating experience within NYC public works construction.
    • Proven track record pricing projects with agencies like SCA, DDC, EDC, NYCHA, or corrections (jails).
    • Background with top-tier GCs or CM firms strongly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of ground‑up and complex public sector builds.
    • Detail‑driven, strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills.
