Job Description

  • Oversees planning and execution of sitework activities including excavation, grading, and land development
  • Manages installation of underground utilities such as water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
  • Coordinates subcontractors, field crews, inspectors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow
  • Reviews plans and specifications to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements
  • Develops and manages project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Identifies and resolves field issues such as soil conditions, conflicts with existing utilities, and design discrepancies
  • Ensures adherence to safety regulations and promotes a strong safety culture on-site
  • Communicates regularly with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to provide progress updates
  • Oversees quality control to ensure all work meets required standards and passes inspections
  • Tracks project costs, prepares reports, and implements cost-control measures to maintain profitability

  • Has proven success overseeing installation of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm) on complex projects
  • Possesses solid knowledge of civil plans, specifications, and local/state regulations
  • Effectively coordinates subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams to maintain schedule and productivity
  • Shows excellent problem-solving skills, especially with unforeseen site conditions or utility conflicts
  • Maintains strict adherence to safety standards and actively promotes a safety-first culture
  • Strong ability to manage budgets, control costs, and track project financials accurately
  • Communicates clearly with clients, engineers, municipalities, and stakeholders
  • Experienced with project management software and construction documentation processes (RFIs, submittals, change orders)
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control and successful project delivery
  • Ability to lead teams, make decisions under pressure, and drive projects to completion on time and within budget
