About Our Client

Our client is an established heavy civil construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering transportation, utility, excavation, and infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients. Due to continued growth and a healthy project backlog, the company is seeking an estimator to support ongoing bidding and preconstruction efforts.

Job Description

  • Prepare detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs for civil construction projects.
  • Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Develop labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Participate in bid strategy meetings and estimate reviews.
  • Identify project risks and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Support project turnover and handoff to operations teams.
  • Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
  • Track market conditions and material pricing trends.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of civil estimating experience.
  • Background in highway, roadwork, utilities, excavation, sitework, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with public bid projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with field and office teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving.
