Job Description

  • Manage civil engineering projects from initial planning through final construction.
  • Prepare and review site development plans, grading plans, drainage designs, utility layouts, and erosion control plans.
  • Perform engineering calculations and technical analyses related to land development and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate project submissions and approvals with municipal, county, state, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring projects remain on track.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, surveyors, and internal engineering teams.
  • Support permitting efforts and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct site visits, field inspections, and construction observation as required.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and project documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance when appropriate.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) license or PE-track candidates strongly encouraged.
  • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, land development, site design, municipal engineering, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of grading, stormwater management, utility design, and permitting processes.
  • Familiarity with New Jersey municipal regulations, NJDEP requirements, and local development standards is highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout South Jersey as needed.
