We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex civil construction projects throughout the Philadelphia region. This role will be responsible for managing project teams, budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Our client is a leading heavy civil and site development contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction projects across Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region. Their portfolio includes roadway improvements, utility installations, land development, municipal projects, transportation infrastructure, and large-scale sitework.

Job Description

  • Manage civil construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and clients.
  • Oversee site development activities including grading, excavation, utilities, earthwork, and paving.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget objectives.
  • Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with Superintendents and Operations teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Support project procurement and subcontractor management activities.
  • Oversee project closeout and final client turnover.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Building and Construction Civil Project Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience within civil construction.
  • Proven experience managing civil construction projects valued at $5M+.
  • Strong understanding of site development, utilities, excavation, grading, roadway, and infrastructure construction.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project financial performance.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and change management processes.
  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • OSHA certification and industry-related certifications are a plus.
