Job Description

  • Manage multiple civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Oversee project financial performance, including forecasting, cost tracking, and change order management.
  • Coordinate project activities with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company standards.
  • Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions to mitigate delays and cost overruns.
  • Support procurement efforts, subcontractor selection, and material purchasing.
  • Collaborate closely with Superintendents to ensure efficient field operations and project delivery.
  • Monitor quality control throughout all project phases.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Civil Project Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience within civil, heavy civil, utility, roadway, site development, excavation, or infrastructure construction.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and contract administration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with project management software and construction management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout South Jersey.
