Job Description

The Construction Estimator will:

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for drywall projects.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate project scopes and budgets.
Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate cost overruns.
Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to align with project budgets.
Maintain accurate records of estimated and actual costs for ongoing and completed projects.
Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to stakeholders.
Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry practices to ensure competitive pricing.
Assist in project planning and forecasting to support the construction department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Estimator should have:

Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry, specifically in drywall projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and cost structures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver accurate estimates.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
A commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
