Job Description

The Estimator will be responsible for:

  • Preparing detailed estimates and conceptual budgets for commercial interior projects
  • Analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate cost plans
  • Leading subcontractor outreach, bid levelling, and scope reviews
  • Collaborating with preconstruction and project teams to refine pricing strategy
  • Supporting value engineering efforts and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Mentoring junior estimators and contributing to team development
  • Maintaining strong relationships with local subcontractors and vendors
  • Utilizing tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project for estimating and coordination

The Successful Applicant

The Estimator should have:

  • Minimum 7+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction
  • Strong background in commercial interiors and tenant fit-out projects
  • Experience working for a general contractor is essential
  • Deep understanding of the local Mid-Atlantic subcontractor market
  • Proven ability to independently manage estimates from concept through bid submission
  • Comfortable training and mentoring junior team members
  • Experience with a variety of project types (corporate office, legal, healthcare, government, etc.) is preferred
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project
