Company is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of high-end custom home builds, additions, and major residential renovations throughout New Jersey. Job Description

  • Project Management: Support the Director of Construction in managing residential construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Schedule Management: Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation to ensure projects remain on time and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Maintain regular communication with homeowners, architects, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Safety Compliance: Escalate project concerns, safety issues, design questions, or client challenges to leadership when appropriate.
  • Quality Control: Perform regular jobsite visits to monitor project progress, quality standards, and safety compliance.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation from project startup through final closeout.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2-5 years of experience in residential construction, construction management, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Understanding of residential construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, estimating, and project controls.
  • Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and construction documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the local market to project sites.
