Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day construction activities for transmission line and substation projects ranging from 69kV-500kV
  • Coordinate field execution with project managers, contractors, engineers, inspectors, and utility clients
  • Monitor project safety, schedule, quality, and construction productivity
  • Lead contractor meetings, progress reviews, and site coordination efforts
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA standards, utility requirements, and project specifications
  • Review construction schedules, work plans, RFIs, change orders, and field reports
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Support commissioning, energization, and project turnover activities
  • Identify construction risks and help drive resolution to maintain schedule and budget objectives
  • Travel full-time between active project sites as assigned

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of construction management experience supporting transmission and/or substation projects
  • Experience managing utility, EPC, or power delivery construction projects
  • Strong understanding of high-voltage construction practices, safety standards, and utility procedures
  • Experience supporting projects within 69kV, 138kV, 230kV, and/or 500kV systems preferred
  • Ability to read construction drawings, schedules, and technical specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and contractor management skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work at project sites throughout the region
