About Our Client

Our client, headquartered in Chicago, focuses on mission critical, healthcare, light industrial and commercial work throughout the United States. They are a top ranked ENR contractor that does over a $500M in annual revenue, with 95% of their business being repeat. They show no signs of slowing down their growth, and are looking for an Project Engineer to help with that. Job Description

* Work hand in hand with a Project Manager to take projects from start to finish

* Manage small owner consultants and prioritize project tasks to meet deadlines

* Maintain knowledge of tasks, sequences, milestones and critical path events

* Forecast delays in timing, materials or resources

* Review invoices, pay applications and change orders to assure pricing accurate, fair and comprehensive

The Successful Applicant

In return for a high value compensation package, a successful candidate will possess the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields preferred
  • Ground-up project experience
  • Design/build or light industrial experience preferred
  • Commercial or similar project experience preferred
  • Experience in overseeing projects from inception to completion
  • Experience with project scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract negotiations
  • Proficient in software applications including Microsoft Office Suite, project scheduling software, and web-based applications
