Job Description

Construction Project Manager - Brooklyn, NY

    • Manage commercial interiors projects from pre-construction through close-out, primarily within historic/landmarked buildings
    • Coordinate with clients, architects, preservation consultants, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with strict historical guidelines
    • Oversee budgets, schedules, and procurement of specialty materials (e.g., approved paints, plaster, finishes)
    • Ensure all work meets city-specific landmark and preservation regulations
    • Lead project meetings, provide reporting, and maintain stakeholder communication
    • Collaborate with site teams while maintaining a strong presence in the Brooklyn office

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Project Manager should have:

    • Proven experience as a Project Manager specializing in commercial interiors (NOT heavy exterior work)
    • Background in high-end/luxury retail or Class A office fit-outs with high-end finishes
    • Experience working on projects with strict regulations, ideally within historic or landmark environments
    • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, finishes, and detail-oriented execution
    • Ability to navigate approvals, compliance, and material specifications tied to preservation standards
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders
