Job Description

As a Construction Project Manager | Public Works | Brooklyn, NY you will:

  • Manage multiple public-sector construction projects from award through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, field teams, and client representatives.
  • Review contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to ownership and public agency stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, contract requirements, and NYC public agency standards.
  • Monitor project costs, cash flow, and billing to ensure financial success.
  • Support project closeout, punch-list completion, and turnover documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Project Manager | Public Works | Brooklyn, NY will look like:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
  • Proven experience managing public works projects in NYC.
  • Familiarity with agencies such as DDC, SCA, NYCHA, DASNY, DEP, or similar public entities is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgeting, contracts, and cost controls.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
