Job Description

    • Lead multiple Class A commercial interiors projects simultaneously from preconstruction through final turnover
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for ownership groups, clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders
    • Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, cost controls, and financial forecasting
    • Manage procurement strategies, subcontractor contracts, and change order negotiations
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and support staff
    • Oversee project risk management and proactively mitigate scheduling, budgetary, and operational challenges
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
    • Drive client satisfaction and cultivate long-term relationships with repeat customers and industry partners
    • Collaborate with field leadership to execute projects safely and efficiently while maintaining project milestones
    • Contribute to strategic planning, operational improvements, and business growth initiatives

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Project Manager should have:

    • 10+ years of experience managing commercial interiors construction projects in New York City
    • Extensive experience delivering Class A corporate office interiors, headquarters relocations, financial institution fit-outs, law firm offices, and other premium workplace environments
    • Currently or previously employed by a reputable NYC General Contractor with a strong commercial interiors portfolio
    • Demonstrated success managing projects ranging from $10M to $100M+ in value
    • Strong expertise in project financial management, scheduling, contract administration, and client management
    • Proven leadership experience overseeing project teams and mentoring junior staff
    • Deep understanding of Manhattan construction logistics, building operations, and occupied renovation environments
    • Exceptional communication, organizational, and executive-level client-facing skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred
