Job Description

Commercial Interiors Superintendent - Manhattan, NYC

    • Lead day‑to‑day on‑site operations for commercial interiors and tenant improvement projects.
    • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and trades to maintain schedule and quality.
    • Enforce site safety plans and ensure compliance with OSHA and NYC regulations.
    • Plan and manage work sequencing in occupied or operational buildings.
    • Conduct daily site walks, toolbox talks, and maintain detailed daily logs and reports.
    • Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and close‑out activities.
    • Partner closely with Project Managers to resolve issues and keep projects on track.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Superintendent should have:

    • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent working for a general contractor.
    • Strong background in commercial interiors / tenant improvement construction (office, retail, healthcare, or institutional interiors).
    • Proven experience delivering projects in Manhattan or similarly dense urban environments.
    • Deep understanding of interiors sequencing, finishes, MEP coordination, and site logistics.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
