Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and drive the successful delivery of commercial and ground-up construction projects throughout Westchester County. This hands-on leadership role will be responsible for managing all on-site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day site operations from project commencement through completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with Project Managers.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address potential delays or issues.
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and maintain quality control throughout all phases of construction.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate site logistics.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed correctly.
  • Track workforce productivity and ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, punch lists, and final inspections.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

    • 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor.
    • Experience managing commercial construction projects with exposure to ground-up construction.
    • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, site logistics, and safety requirements.
    • Proven ability to lead subcontractors and field teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience coordinating multiple trades and maintaining project schedules.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
    • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management technologies is advantageous.
    • Local knowledge of the Westchester construction market is highly desirable.
