Job Description

  • Provide on-site leadership and day-to-day supervision of construction activities.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or field challenges.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to verify quality standards and compliance with project specifications.
  • Enforce jobsite safety programs and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and communicate project expectations.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope requirements with project teams.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment utilization, and workforce planning.
  • Track project progress and provide updates to project management and stakeholders.
  • Manage punch-list completion, project closeout, and turnover activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Superintendent should have:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supervising commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through completion.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse project teams.
  • Experience across commercial, industrial, healthcare, retail, or multifamily construction environments preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Location: Rochester, New York

Work Arrangement: Primarily on-site at active construction projects throughout the Greater Rochester and Western New York region.
