Job Description

The Construction VP of Operations - Public Works / Municipal will:

  • Provide senior‑level operational leadership across multiple public works and municipal projects ranging from $30M-$200M+
  • Oversee and support project teams to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are met
  • Act as a key escalation point for Project Executives, Project Managers, and Superintendents
  • Drive client satisfaction and long‑term relationships with federal, state, and local stakeholders
  • Partner with business unit leadership to support division growth and work‑winning efforts
  • Ensure projects meet internal profitability targets while maintaining high construction standards
  • Mentor and develop high‑performing teams through coaching and leadership initiatives

The Successful Applicant

The Construction VP of Operations - Public Works / Municipal will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10-12+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Experience overseeing large‑scale federal, state, or local municipal projects
  • Proven track record of leading project teams and delivering profitable projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client‑facing skills
