Job Description

Reporting into senior technical leadership, the Control Development Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing, validating, and optimizing control systems across next‑generation products.

  • Lead the development of control algorithms for fuel‑injection systems and electric motor technologies.
  • Define control concepts, system requirements, and overall control architecture.
  • Take full lifecycle ownership of control functions from concept through to production release.
  • Plan and execute calibration, tuning, and performance‑optimization activities.
  • Drive MIL, SIL, and HIL testing, including ECU integration and validation.
  • Analyze complex data sets to enhance performance, efficiency, and robustness.
  • Contribute to engineering documentation, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

For the Control Development Engineer we are seeking:

  • Strong proficiency in control theory and real‑world control system implementation.
  • Deep experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape (essential).
  • Hands‑on capability with dSPACE tools for ECU development and testing.
  • Proven background in model‑based development and verification.
  • Programming skills in C/C++ and Python for analysis and tooling.
  • Experience with MIL/SIL/HIL environments and validation workflows.
  • Knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and XCP communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with internal combustion engines, fuel‑delivery systems, or electric motor control (advantageous).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional and international teams.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Control, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
  • Minimum five years of control systems engineering experience.
