They have a collaborative, tenured team environment and are looking to bring in a hands‑on Controller to support continued growth and strengthen their financial operations.

Job Description

The responsibilities of the Controller include:

  • Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Oversee cost accounting and inventory valuation within a manufacturing environment, including analysis of variances
  • Prepare and review financial statements, P&L analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead and develop a small accounting team, ensuring strong performance and collaboration
  • Partner closely with operations and leadership to drive financial insights, improve processes, and support business decisions
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and audit requirements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies across the accounting function

The Successful Applicant

The successful Controller will:

  • Strong background in manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting, inventory, and financial reporting
  • Hands‑on experience with month‑end close, balance sheet ownership, and variance analysis
  • Proven ability to partner with operations and understand plant‑level financial drivers
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small team (2-5 direct reports or similar)
  • Confident but not ego‑driven; collaborative, approachable, and team‑oriented
  • Track record of stable tenure and steady career growth
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to improve processes and drive efficiencies
  • Comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment and taking on increased responsibility over time
