The role reports directly into the owners, and will focus on overseeing all of the company's projects.

About Our Client

The client have a lean finance and accounting team, and are looking for a Controller to oversee all the accounting for the business. The team are looking for a candidate with prior managerial experience to help manage the team as well as oversee all accounting operations for the construction projects. The company are a small family run business from the construction, real estate and property industry.

Job Description

  • Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Oversee and track the budgets of all construction projects.
  • WIP reporting.
  • Cashflow management and reporting.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports to stakeholders.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team to enhance their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and financial planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems for efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Controller should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience across finance and accounting
  • MUST have prior experience in the construction industry
  • Prior experience using the system Viewpoint Spectrum and Excel - highly desirable
  • MUST have prior management experience
  • Good written an verbal communication skills

What's on Offer

  • $150,000 - $180,000 (can be flexible)
