This role reports directly to the CFO and plays a key leadership role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Job Description

  • Oversee all core accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll
  • Manage and streamline the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain oversight of corporate cash management and liquidity
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes in partnership with senior leadership
  • Deliver timely financial reporting to meet corporate deadlines
  • Lead internal controls framework and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Coordinate external audits and support internal audit activities
  • Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance and filings
  • Identify risks and implement improvements to strengthen financial processes
  • Lead and develop a small accounting team, including direct oversight of key functional leaders
  • Establish departmental goals and monitor performance
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Controller-level experience in a manufacturing environment
  • SAP ERP System Experience
  • Deep understanding of accounting operations, reporting, and controls
  • CPA is preferred, not required
