Employees enjoy a dynamic environment where innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement are highly valued.Job DescriptionThe Development Engineer will play a key role in designing and developing complex cardiac catheter systems while supporting the transition of products from research and development into commercial manufacturing. This hands-on position involves product design, prototyping, testing, process development, statistical analysis, technical documentation, and vendor collaboration to support successful product realization.Design and develop catheter components, sub-assemblies, and complete system architectures.Create technical documentation including drawings, protocols, reports, and procedures.Develop and optimise manufacturing processes including bonding, extrusion, reflow, and assembly techniques.Execute design verification activities, testing programmes, and statistical data analysis.Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support product development and commercialization.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. They will have a proven track record of bringing products from concept through commercial launch while working effectively within regulated quality systems and multidisciplinary teams.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master's preferred).5+ years of medical device product development experience, including 3+ years focused on catheter development.Expertise in catheter manufacturing processes such as UV bonding, solvent bonding, extrusion, reflow, tipping, swaging, and injection moulding.Experience with catheter materials including Pebax, PTFE, FEP, PEEK, Nitinol, stainless steel, and similar materials.Proficiency with SolidWorks, design verification, DOE methodologies, and statistical analysis tools.What's on OfferThis is an opportunity to join an innovative and growing medical device organisation where you can make a direct impact on the development of life-changing technologies.
