The position requires strong leadership, financial acumen, project management expertise and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across complex development initiatives.The successful candidate will oversee internal development staff while managing external consultants, lenders, public agencies, legal counsel, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with strategic objectives.Identify, evaluate, and pursue real estate development opportunitiesConduct financial feasibility analyses and assess site suitabilityCreate and maintain project pro formas, development budgets, cash flow projections, and capital plansSecure site control through purchase agreements, development agreements, and related documentationDevelop and manage project schedules, ensuring achievement of key milestones and deadlinesPrepare and manage development budgets and predevelopment expendituresCoordinate debt and equity financing efforts, including financial closingsNegotiate and administer loan agreements, partnership documents, and other transaction-related contractsSupport applications for public and private funding sources, including affordable housing financing programs and tax credit transactionsBuild and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including consultants, legal counsel, architects, engineers, contractors, and financial partnersPresent development opportunities and project updates to investors, public officials, community groups, and internal leadershipFoster collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to drive project successCoordinate with property management and leasing teams during project stabilization and lease-upResolve project challenges proactively while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder interestsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
