Job Description

The Director of Construction will:



  • Project Oversight: Lead construction projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.


  • Strategic Planning: Develop construction strategies, standards, processes, and long-term plans aligned with organizational goals.


  • Budget & Cost Control: Establish budgets, monitor expenditures, approve major costs, and manage forecasts, change orders, and cost-saving initiatives.


  • Schedule Management: Oversee project schedules, identify critical-path risks, and drive timely completion.


  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor project managers, superintendents, engineers, and other construction personnel.


  • Contractor Management: Select, negotiate with, and oversee general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.


  • Quality Control: Establish quality standards and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, codes, and contractual requirements.


  • Safety Management: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety requirements

The Successful Applicant

The successful Director will have the following:

· 15+ years' experience in Commercial Construction

· Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field strongly preferred

· OSHA certification preferred

· Proficient in project management software

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
