Job Description

The Director of Construction/(Owner's Rep) will:

  • Develop detailed budgets and cost estimates across capital, renovation, and tenant projects
  • Manage day-to-day construction execution and oversee third-party firms where applicable
  • Lead selection and coordination of architects, engineers, and contractors from design through completion
  • Oversee tenant buildouts, ensuring lease compliance and adherence to critical timelines
  • Draft and manage landlord work letters, lease exhibits, and signage requirements
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and milestones across multiple developments
  • Coordinate construction contracts in partnership with legal teams
  • Monitor tenant permitting, approvals, and readiness through project lifecycle
  • Serve as key liaison between onsite operations, tenants, and construction teams
  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality, compliance, and proper project phasing
  • Provide accurate reporting and updates to internal stakeholders
  • Support cross-functional initiatives across leasing, operations, and finance

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in retail construction and redevelopment projects
  • Proven experience managing tenant improvement and capital projects end-to-end
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and MS Project
