Job Description

As Director of Operations, you will report directly to the executive leadership team and take ownership of end‑to‑end operational performance across manufacturing and supply chain functions.

  • Lead manufacturing, production, supply chain, and logistics teams to deliver safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned to long‑term growth and investment plans
  • Drive throughput, yield improvement, and on‑time delivery in a regulated, high‑mix manufacturing environment
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas
  • Own operational budgets, forecasts, and cost control, driving margin improvement and productivity gains
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and other U.S. government contracting requirements
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams on new product introduction and customer delivery

The Successful Applicant

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
  • Significant senior‑level operations leadership experience within precision manufacturing or high‑technology environments. Optical components and systems manufacturing is highly preferred.
  • Proven background supporting defence, aerospace, or other regulated government‑contracted programs
  • Strong working knowledge of export controls, compliance requirements, and regulated quality systems
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP or MRP systems and data‑driven operational management
  • A collaborative, decisive leader with the gravitas to operate at executive level and develop high‑performing teams
