Job Description

  • Lead and manage the preconstruction department, including estimators and preconstruction managers
  • Oversee conceptual through GMP estimating, budgeting, and cost modeling
  • Develop and execute bid and pursuit strategies aligned with company goals
  • Collaborate closely with business development, operations, and design partners
  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and constructability during preconstruction
  • Lead value engineering efforts to optimize cost, schedule, and quality
  • Ensure smooth transition from preconstruction to project execution teams
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals

The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with significant preconstruction leadership exposure
  • Experience with interior Light Industrial/Industrial projects highly preferred
  • Proven success leading estimating teams and managing complex commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of preconstruction workflows, cost controls, and risk evaluation
  • Experience with negotiated work, design‑build, and CM delivery methods
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic decision‑making skills
  • Proficiency with estimating software and preconstruction tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
