Job Description

Project Management Function Leadership

  • Design and implement project management frameworks, stage-gate methodologies, and governance processes for product and operational initiatives.
  • Develop standardised project plans, templates, timelines, and reporting tools to enhance consistency and execution.
  • Establish communication cadences, executive reporting structures, and escalation protocols to support decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
  • Introduce and optimise project management tools, systems, and best practices across the organisation.
  • Define clear ownership, accountability, and decision-making processes across cross-functional teams.
  • Champion a culture of project discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement.



Project Execution & Portfolio Management

  • Lead a portfolio of concurrent projects including new product introductions, product transitions, packaging initiatives, and business process improvements.
  • Own project timelines from initiation through completion, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements are effectively managed.
  • Identify project risks proactively and develop mitigation plans to minimise disruption and maintain momentum.
  • Facilitate collaboration among internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership on project status, key decisions, risks, and progress toward objectives.
  • Maintain focus and accountability across stakeholders in dynamic, fast-changing business

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director of Project Management should have:

  • Demonstrated success building project management processes, frameworks, and operating models from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of new product development (NPD) lifecycles and product transition processes within a regulated consumer products environment.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across multiple departments without direct authority.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable operating in environments with evolving priorities and ambiguity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • 8+ years of project management experience within consumer packaged goods, beauty, personal care, wellness, lifestyle, food & beverage, or related industries.
  • Experience leading cross-functional product launch and operational initiatives.
  • PMP certification or comparable project management credential preferred but not required.
