Job Description

As a Superintendent - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all on-site construction activities from start to finish
  • Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Maintaining project schedules and driving milestone completion
  • Coordinating commercial fit-outs and residential renovations
  • Conducting daily safety meetings and enforcing OSHA standards
  • Reviewing plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Managing site logistics, deliveries, and material coordination
  • Monitoring project quality and ensuring work meets specifications
  • Coordinating inspections and resolving field issues
  • Working closely with Project Managers, architects, and clients
  • Maintaining daily reports and project documentation
  • Supporting project turnover and closeout activities

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in construction
  • Experience managing both commercial and residential interior projects
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction methods and sequencing
  • Experience with office build-outs, retail renovations, luxury apartments, brownstones, or penthouses
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong scheduling and subcontractor management skills
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Experience working in occupied buildings is a plus
