About Our Client

Our client is a well-established Brooklyn-based General Contractor specializing in affordable housing rehabilitation projects. For decades, this contractor has delivered large-scale renovation and preservation projects throughout New York City, partnering with agencies such as NYCHA PACT and HPD to improve housing for residents while maintaining occupied buildings throughout construction.

Job Description

As a DOB Superintendent, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through completion
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
  • Ensure compliance with DOB regulations and project requirements
  • Maintain project schedules and drive production goals
  • Conduct safety meetings and enforce site safety protocols
  • Interface with residents, property management, and project stakeholders
  • Track daily reports, inspections, and quality control procedures
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to resolve field issues proactively

The Successful Applicant

A Successful DOB Superintendent should have:

  • Active NYC DOB Superintendent License required
  • Experience managing occupied rehabilitation projects preferred
  • Background in affordable housing, multifamily, or public-sector construction
  • Strong understanding of NYC building codes and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple trades in an active residential environment
