Supporting some of the largest grid mod projects across the US, they have a long record of delivering complex, grid‑critical transmission, substation, distribution, and generation projects.Job DescriptionThis position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your drafting skills, while working in a multi-disciplined team environment with other designers and/or engineers in the preparation of design drawings based on design input.You will have the opportunity to apply your computer-aided drafting skills, while receiving hands-on training in 3D design software environments, such as AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantAn Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience.Advanced knowledge and 3+ years of experience in the use of of computer drafting tools (MicroStation preferred, but AutoCAD is acceptable.)Familiarity with Bentley Substation Design.Ability to visualize Equipment Details, Phase to Ground and Phase to Phase Clearances.Ability to multi-task from project to project.Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer.Valued Knowledge/Skills:An Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design.Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.What's on OfferHourly pay range: $28.00 - $44.00.Flexibility that works: Choose a hybrid or remote schedule that fits your life and projectsAccess to medical, dental, and vision benefits.Work on the largest Transmission, Grid Mod project in the USOpportunity to work in a key role within the energy and natural resources sector.A temporary position offering hands-on experience with impactful projects.This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Engineer to make a meaningful impact.
